All are welcome here! We have a park for the children, water and treats for the dogs, and even a paddock for the horses!

What We Do. . .

We offer food, drink and accommodation in a charming location. With two bar areas, four tables in one and six in the other, providing an intimate and cozy dining experience. Our capable and locally renowned chefs can cater for dietary requirements on request, providing a menu of classic pub-grub guaranteed to leave you stuffed while our dedicated bar staff keep your glass full.

A separate restaurant area can be opened up when the bars are at capacity, or if you require space and a beautiful location for meetings, functions or events it can be reserved & rented.

If the Great British weather isn't against us we a beautiful sun-trap of a beer garden complete with apple trees, a park and plenty of seating. But thats not all! We even have a dedicated games room decked out with a jukebox, pool table and dart board.

Our
history. . .

A brief history of the building. . .

Our building is one of the oldest in the area, parts from the 1500s still stand, the stairs and beams from the 1600s while the frontage and majority of the current building dates to the 1800s when we became a coaching inn, a heritage we embrace to this day being one of the few inns to accommodate horses!

We're proud to have steadily provided affordable and quality food, drink and accommodation since the early 1800's. We look forwards to welcoming you into that history.

Our Local Area. . .

Llandrindod, Builth & Rhayader. . .

In the very centre of wales, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, long country walks and stunning cycle routes. Llandrindod is a picturesque victorian spa town, steeped in history acting as a brilliant base to explore Mid-Wales.

While in our opinion Llandrindod is the nicest of the three towns, both Builth and Rhayader are also well worth a visit.
